To start off our semester-long yo-yo journey, we met to brainstorm designs. Each of us came up with a number of ideas, inspired by whatever was on our minds. From there, we selected a handful of concepts that looked promising, and developed some sketches to better visualize these ideas. Here they are below:
LEGO-YO: A design that incorporates the world-famous LEGO brick interlocking system to allow LEGO bricks to be attached to the yo-yo however one pleases.

Disco Ball: What's better than a yo-yo? A SHINY yo-yo of course! This yo-yo design is centered around replicating (to the best of our ability) a disco ball - reflective light party and all.

Avengers: Just like the avengers themselves, the many themed parts of this yo-yo come together to form the ultimate team! (but yo-yo instead of team...)

Mike Wazowski: Our beloved, green, one eyed friend from Monsters Inc. is immortalized in a one-of-a-kind yo-yo with this design. What's better than that?

Apple: No, not the fruit (although that's what I thought at first); this design is focused on recreating the simplicity and beauty of sleek Apple products like the MacBook or iPhone.

Decisions
Next came decision time! Of course we could only choose one yo-yo, so we had to come to a unanimous agreement. After some back and forth, we all happily agreed on...
The suspense builds...
You're on the edge of your seat aren't you?
Gettin' there...
Now your heart is racing...
Your palms are sweaty...
Knees weak...
ALMOST THERE
Oh you've probably read the website title already...anyway the final design is the:
Lego-Yo!!
Now we'll start the process of designing the detailed, intricate parts of the lego-yo and planning for manufacturing.
